AT VIROLOGY LAB IS HIRING

A POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER AND A RESEARCH ASSISTANT

We are seeking motivated individuals for the following positions:

1. Postdoctoral Researcher

Qualifications:

Additional Skills Required:

Experience in library preparation for next-generation sequencing (NGS) or Oxford Nanopore sequencing technology is preferred.
Knowledge of bioinformatics tools and analysis is a strong advantage.
Preferably with a background in viral sequencing and handling clinical samples.
Ability to design, validate, and implement new molecular workflows or assays.
Experience in writing research manuscripts and grant proposals.

Responsibilities:

Lead research projects focusing on virology and molecular biology.
Manage clinical cohorts, including communication with clinicians, receiving and processing clinical samples, maintaining cohort collections, ensuring proper documentation.
Writing ethics-related documents for Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval and obtaining ethical certificates.
Design, validate, and implement advanced molecular assays and workflows.
Collaborate with team members to analyze and interpret experimental results.
Prepare manuscripts for publication and contribute to grant writing.

Salary: 40,000–45,000 THB (commensurate with qualifications and experience).

2. Research Assistant

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in molecular biology, Microbiology, Virology, or a related field.
Basic knowledge in molecular biology, microbiology, and virology.
Experience with standard molecular techniques (e.g., PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis).
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

Assist in conducting experiments in molecular biology and virology.
Support cohort collection, including communication with clinicians, receiving and processing clinical samples.
Assist in writing ethics-related documents for Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval and obtaining ethical certificates
Prepare reagents, maintain laboratory equipment, and organize lab inventory.
Collect, analyze, and record experimental data.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth execution of research projects.

Salary: Approximately 25,000 THB.
